JUNTXS is a media-rich, open access educational resource designed to be used in conjunction with a variety of approaches to support beginning learners of Spanish within A1-A2 levels of linguistic competency as described in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) [Click to self-assess your CEFR level]. However, many sections can be used at more advanced levels for revision and critical engagement with selected content. As such, this resource can be used in different ways, depending on your context and goals. For example, it could be used instead of a prescribed textbook or to supplement it.
This section answers various questions about the pedagogical approaches and logistics of this resource.
In addition to the “3 STOPS + FINAL DESTINATION” sections, each module also includes a “Banda sonora” (soundtrack) with a collaborative Spotify playlist of songs related to the content of the module; and a section titled “Quiero saber más”, aimed to promote independent, critical reflection on learning strategies and overall attainment of learning objectives. Within the modules there are several cross-references to other sections of this learning resource, which focus more specifically on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
