Exercise Variations
External rotation (pictured below) and internal rotation of the rotator cuff can be performed in a side-lying position using a dumbbell. This exercise is allowing movement against gravity, not across gravity.
Equipment Variations
If you do not have access to a cable machine, a TheraBand or resistance band can be used as an alternative. Make sure you select a band with the appropriate resistance for the client.
