4 Pre-Placement Requirements

What to Understand and Do Before Your Placement
Before starting your placement, you need to read, understand, and complete the following:
Read and understand the:
- Electronic Course Profile – for assessment requirements and submission dates for your course.
- Student Code of Conduct and Work Integrated Learning and Work Experience Policy – including confidentiality obligations.
- Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences “Prepare for your Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) Placement” information – complete all pre-placement requirements by the deadline.
Non-compliance means you cannot participate in placement.

Public Holidays and Alternative Hours

- The site is open and your preceptor is happy for you to do so. Confirm at least one week prior.
- If the site is closed or supervision is unavailable, you do not need to attend.
- For community pharmacies, if you want to make up hours, discuss this with your preceptor and notify your WIL Partnerships Coordinator.

Placement Accessibility
- If you need adjustments for your placement, make an appointment with UQ Student Services for a Student Access Plan (SAP).
