Microsoft software at UQ
As a UQ student, you have free access to Microsoft 365, including tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams. These tools help you manage your studies, collaborate with others, and stay organised.

Accessing Microsoft 365
You can use Microsoft 365 online or download the apps to your device.
As a student you have access to:
- Outlook/Exchange – for email and calendars, 10GB storage
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- OneNote
- Publisher (PC only)
- Access (PC only)
- Clipchamp
- Forms
- Lists
- Loop – no access to Workspace
- OneDrive – 10GB of storage
- People
- Calendar
- Reading Coach
- SharePoint

Using Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams is used in many UQ courses for communication and collaboration. You can use Teams to:
- chat with classmates and tutors
- join online tutorials and meetings
- share files and work on documents together.
To access Teams:
- Go to your Learn.UQ (Blackboard) course and look for theĀ Microsoft Teams link in the Content tab.
- You can choose to use the web app or download the desktop/mobile app.
- Sign in with your UQ email and password.

Copilot Chat
UQ students have free access to Copilot Chat. This is an AI tool that can help you:
- ask questions about study topics
- get help with writing and editing
- explore ideas and organise tasks.
You can access it from your browser in the M365 Copilot App using your UQ credentials.
